With 18 years of experience in the beauty industry and six years with Cotton Rouge & Company, Gina Tarbell is a hair and makeup artist known for natural glam, effortless movement, and a calm presence that feels right at home on a wedding morning.
Her love of beauty started with small moments that stuck. In eighth grade, Gina had an English teacher who always painted her nails to match her outfits. Gina loved it. She was already painting her own nails, styling her cousins' hair, and doing makeup on her little sister, and eventually those early interests turned into a career.
After high school, Gina earned her cosmetology license on Long Island, New York. While planning her own wedding in 2007, she discovered how difficult it was to find an artist offering on-site hair and makeup. She saw an opportunity, partnered with a friend with years of pageant-industry experience, and began building her career in bridal beauty.
Today, Gina specializes in natural glam airbrush makeup and hairstyles designed to move with you rather than feel overly stiff or styled. Her philosophy is simple: enhance what's already there. She wants her clients to feel polished, confident, and beautiful while still looking unmistakably like themselves.
After relocating from New York to South Carolina in 2021, Gina continued serving brides throughout the region and joined the Cotton Rouge team. She loves the collaboration and support that comes from working alongside artists who share the same goal: helping clients feel their absolute best.
Gina also owns MOOD Beauty in Simpsonville, where she offers natural nail services, custom facials, and full-body waxing, bringing the same thoughtful, detail-driven approach to beauty beyond the wedding day.

Gina's happy place changes with the weather. Fall means hiking, preferably with a brewery or bakery involved. Winter is for skiing or snowboarding and something hot to drink. Spring brings camping and more hiking, and in summer you'll find her swimming, paddleboarding, or somewhere near the pool or lake.

Gina once spent eight months living in a camper and traveling the country with her husband, two sons, and their dog, Ruth.
