With more than 15 years in the beauty industry, Emily Dixon brings a career spanning New York City, Los Angeles, and Greenville to every client who sits in her chair.
Her path to beauty actually started on the other side of the chair. After earning a degree in Acting and spending years around theaters and professional sets, Emily realized she loved the creativity happening behind the scenes just as much as performing in front of the camera. Then again, considering her first word was “tick” for lipstick, perhaps the beauty industry had been coming for her all along.
Over the years, Emily's career has taken her through cosmetic sales, major beauty brands, backstage and on-set artistry, and thousands of client interactions across bridal, fashion, commercial, and pageant beauty. That experience helped develop one of her greatest strengths as an artist: understanding skin.
Emily has a particular talent for color matching and product selection, taking into account not just skin tone but texture, finish, longevity, and how a product will actually behave on the person wearing it. Her signature is a complexion that looks flawless, glowing, and beautifully polished without losing the person underneath it.
She's also an unapologetic product junkie. Emily genuinely loves educating clients about beauty, whether she's explaining why a particular shade works, recommending something new, or showing someone how to actually use the product they already own.
After more than a decade away, Emily returned home to Greenville and joined Cotton Rouge & Company as a dual Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist. Her naturally high-energy personality makes her fun to have in the room, but she's also skilled at reading the energy around her and adjusting when a client needs something quieter, calmer, or more grounding.
Emily has also expanded her love of beauty and skincare through TopDown Beauty Studio in downtown Greenville, located just down the street from CRC. There, she offers customized facials, Korean lash lifts and brow laminations, waxing, spray tans, and other esthetic services.
Her Signature:
Beautiful complexion. Emily wants skin to look flawless and glowing, and years of matching shades and products to thousands of different faces have made complexion work one of her greatest strengths.
High Meets Low:
Emily's beauty philosophy is a little like her closet: designer bag, TJ Maxx top. She's just as happy pairing a luxury foundation with a drugstore lip gloss because a great product is a great product, regardless of the price tag.

The Emily Experience:
Naturally high energy, fun, and enthusiastic, but also a bit of a chameleon. Emily reads the room and knows when to bring the energy and when a client needs her to bring things down a notch.
In Her Purse:
Probably her latest romantasy obsession, a lip liner, and an Alani. Emily loves reading and audiobooks, especially anything involving a little romance and a fantasy world to disappear into.
Dream Client:
Taylor Swift. Obviously. Emily is already prepared for the red lip.
And celebrity glam isn't entirely hypothetical, Emily once had the opportunity to do Reese Witherspoon's makeup while living in Los Angeles and says she was every bit as kind and genuine as you'd hope.
Plot Twist:
Emily has moved across the country multiple times on her own in pursuit of the next dream. Most recently, that meant driving from California back to South Carolina with her 11-pound dog, Pinto Bean, riding shotgun.
